Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins Preview
In terms of interesting mid season match-up’s, before the year many people were probably excited about the NFC East rivalry games that were going to be happening throughout the year. Well, heading into week 11 of the season, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be heading to Washington to take on the Redskins in a game that everyone had hoped would be meaningful. All it really means this week though is that the winner of this game is, in all honesty, out of the playoff race. A 3-6 hole is hard enough to work your way out of, but making it out of a 3-7 hole is nearly impossible. For the Eagles, they are going to be without starting quarterback Michael Vick who suffered a serious concussion last week, and Nick Foles will be running the show. Foles had some struggles last week, and he’ll need to have some solid blocking and a good game plan on the road against the Redskins and another rookie quarterback in Robert Griffin III, who has had a great year. Kickoff for this game is set for 1:00pm EST on Sunday.

Vick is Out – Will Eagles Be Up?
The Eagles lost Vick during their last game against the Dallas Cowboys, and while Foles led them to a lead at one point, things turned quickly as the Cowboys took advantage of a weak offensive line and the rookie quarterbacks inexperience. They are going to need to work out a game plan that will make Foles’ life a whole lot easier as he is penciled in as the starter with Vick set to be out for a bit. The Eagles need to get the ball to LeSean McCoy more, as he’s definitely going to make the difference in this game, and if they don’t get him the ball then this rivalry game could get ugly quick.
Redskins Need To Get On Track
The Redskins are coming off of a bye week and another tough loss before that. While the Eagles have lost five games straight, the Redskins have their own tough losing streak of three in a row that they are looking to handle. Their offense has been solid with Griffin leading the show, and the defense is going to be key here against the struggling Eagles’ offense. I think that the Redskins defense is more than capable of causing some turnovers though, and if Griffin can continue leading the charge and getting some help from Alfred Morris, then they should be in a good spot on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins Betting Prediction
The Redskins come into this game as -3.5 favorites. It’s tough to feel to strongly about the situation going on in Philadelphia right now, especially with the city calling for major changes to happen to the team. I think that the future is bright in Washington, and while they have lost some close and tough games this season, I think that they are more than talented enough to win this home game against the struggling Eagles. Expect some mistakes to be made by the rookie in Nick Foles, and for the Redskins to take advantage of them. It’ll be a pretty high scoring game I think as well, with the Redskins getting the win by around a touchdown and cover the -3.5 spread.
