Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants Preview
On Sunday Night Football this week, two of the stronger teams in the NFC are going to go at it on prime time television. The Green Bay Packers are fresh off of a big road win against a divisional rival in the Detroit Lions, while the New York Giants are coming off of a bye week and also a tough loss just before that to the young Cincinnati Bengals. This game has the potential to be a fun one, and it seems that any time that the Packers and Giants end up meeting that sparks fly and it turns out to be an excellent game. With that being said, it can often be a tough one to call from a sports bettors perspective, but I do like one side here over the other. Currently, the Packers are 7-3 and are just behind the Chicago Bears for the NFC North, while the Giants are 6-4, but the Dallas Cowboys are hot on their trail. The G-Men have lost two straight, while the Packers on the other hand have won an impressive five in a row.

Packers Getting It Done On Offense
The Packers are back to their old ways of airing it out with stud quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and it’s safe to say that it’s working just fine for this team. They lost Cedric Benson to an injury, and the back-up running back’s haven’t been able to do too much. Rodgers has then been forced to take over the offense, and he’s gotten the job done leading this team. The defense has also been solid, and when they’ve been needed to get big stops they’ve done just that. The Bears are feeling the Packers right on them now, and if the Packers keep rolling I think there’s a good chance they could take over the division lead.
Giants Need to Right the Ship
The Giants on the other hand seemed to have a grip on the NFC East before the Cowboys were able to beat the Eagles, and the G-Men went down to the Bengals. The Cowboys also won a tight one against the Browns on the Giants’ bye week, so we now have quite the race to watch. They are going to need to get that strong passing game going again with Eli Manning, Victor Cruz, and Hakeem Nicks, especially against a Packers team who loves to air it out and are as hot as they are right now. This could be a high scoring game when all is said and done.

Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants Betting Prediction
While the Giants are favored by -1.5 in this one right now, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game move close to a pick before game time. The Packers hot streak right now has quite a few teams worried I can imagine. I think that the Giants secondary could be in for a long day and they are going to have to prove that they can stop a strong passing offense like the Packers in order for me to believe that they can contend for a Super Bowl again. I don’t think it’s going to happen on Sunday though, as the Giants will be playing keep up with the Packers all day, and will end up losing by three when all is said and done in a high scoring game. Bet on the Packers +1.5 in this game.
