Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Diego Chargers Preview
On Sunday afternoon, two teams who were expected to make pushes on the 2012-2013 NFL Playoffs are going to go at it in the Cincinnati Bengals and the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are going to get home field advantage in this one, but are coming off of a brutal loss last week in overtime to the Baltimore Ravens in which they gave up a 4th and 29 to running back Ray Rice. The Chargers are now 4-7, have lost three games straight, and are definitely reeling in the AFC West, which the Denver Broncos have a firm hold on the top spot. The Bengals on the other hand are just heading in the other direction as they’ve WON three straight games, are 6-5, and are looking to push for one of those two AFC Wild Card spots which are really open right now. Kick off for this one is at 4:25pm EST.

AJ Green Will Have a Monster Day
The Bengals have had a strange season so far, as they started by winning three straight at one point, they then lost four straight, and now they’ve won three in a row again. I strongly believe this is just a situation where the Bengals have finally figured it out this season and that they should keep on rolling now, especially against a team in the Chargers who are struggling badly. Cincinnati has a strong one-two punch in quarterback Andy Dalton and they also have a great wide receiver in AJ Green. BenJarvus Green-Ellis has been a great addition as well, so Bengals fans have to love the direction this young team is heading.
Chargers Need to Figure It Out
The Chargers on the other side need to figure something out. There have been talks for a while now about possibly changes coming in San Diego, and I think that it’s going to come this offseason or possibly earlier. The Chargers have many issues that need to be handled, and they just can’t seem to win the close games, which is a serious problem as you can imagine. Philip Rivers goes back and forth between being strong and being a turnover machine, which is just another situation that needs to be handled there.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Diego Chargers Betting Prediction
The Bengals are -1 point favorites in this game. I’d love to give an edge to the San Diego Chargers on their home field, but I just don’t think it’s happening. San Diego has struggled so much, and going against a team in the Bengals who are hitting on all cylinders just spells bad news. I think that the Bengals are a playoff team, and I don’t think that San Diego will be able to stop the Bengals offense. Most importantly though, the Bengals defense is much improved, and they are going against a quarterback in Rivers who has the potential to turn it over at pretty much any time. I expect the Bengals to take advantage of this too and to pull out the win by a touchdown on the road. We pick the Bengals -1 in this football game.
