Minnesota Vikings vs. St. Louis Rams Preview
This week with all of the interesting match-ups in the NFL, one that’s flying under the radar is definitely the game between the Minnesota Vikings, and the St. Louis Rams. Both of these teams are fighting for a playoff spot and with the NFC being strong this season, they both are badly going to need this game. The Vikings have a slight edge in the standings right now as they are 7-6, and the Rams are hold at 6-6-1 because of that tie against the San Francisco 49ers. These two teams both have been very good in games, and both have disappointed at different times throughout the year. The game will be played in St. Louis, which gives them a slight edge in terms of the betting line on this game. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm EST in St. Louis.

Vikings Have Cooled Off
The Vikings are riding their absolute beast of a running back in Adrian Peterson this year, and if you think that they are going to get away from that then you are crazy. Many people were curious to find out what type of player that Peterson would be after that brutal knee injury, but he made it back early and he’s proved that he’s as strong as ever and as good as ever. He’s likely to top 2,000 rushing yards this season, and there’s no reason for the Vikings to stop getting him the ball. After such a hot start quarterback Christian Ponder has taken some step backs, but the defense has stepped it up for him quite a bit.
Rams Still Have Playoff Hopes
The Rams on the other side are running a strong all-around offense that features Steven Jackson having some solid runs and opening up the field for Sam Bradford. Bradford has been pretty consistent and solid this year, but most importantly is the fact that their defense has improved a good bit also. The addition of Jeff Fisher as their head coach was a great one, as he’s completely changed the mindset that St. Louis Rams fans and players have right now. The new look Rams could be past any type of rebuilding phase before we all expected them to be.

Minnesota Vikings vs. St. Louis Rams Betting Prediction
While the Rams are favored by -2.5 in this game and are on their home field, I’m not sure how they are going to be able to slow down Adrian Peterson. Peterson’s game is on another level now, and he looks like he’s ready to get that 2,000 rushing yards and hopefully push his team back into the playoffs. This game will be close pretty much throughout, but when all is said and done I’m rolling with the Vikings to get the win. It will be in large part due to Peterson, but I think that the Vikings defense is going to have a big game as well here, and while they are getting points, I’m going to play it safe and roll with the Vikings +2.5.
