Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview

This Sunday we may have a limited slate of games due to the Thanksgiving schedule out there, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some great games and also some strong betting options as well on the board. One game that immediately caught my eye was a game between two NFC South rivals in the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons may not be on the same type of winning streak that the Bucs are on, but the Falcons are sitting with the best record in the NFL right now at 9-1. The Bucs on the other hand are 6-4, but have won four games straight to this point and find themselves right in the mix of the NFC playoff picture. Both teams are looking like they could be in the playoffs, but it’s still a big one for both sides. The game kicks off at 1pm on Sunday and will be played in Tampa Bay.

Falcons Playmakers Ready to Play

The Falcons have an offense that is definitely worth talking about with some playmakers all over the place including Matt Ryan, Roddy White, and Julio Jones. As strong as their offense is, they had a rough outing this past week against the Arizona Cardinals, with Ryan throwing for a crazy 5 interceptions. Even with the 5 picks that he threw, the Falcons were still able to walk away with a big win to push them to 9-1. If you think that Ryan is going to have this type of game consistently then you’re crazy, as he’s one of the more consistent players in the NFL typically, and many people feel he’s on the way to being elite.

Bucs Still in Contention

For the Bucs, they were nearly over and out last week against the Carolina Panthers, down by two scores with 4 minutes left. They made an amazing comeback though including a converted two point conversion with almost no time left on the clock to tie it up. The game then went to overtime when they were able to score a touchdown and walk away with a big road win in Carolina. This kept their win streak alive, and showed that Josh Freeman is making strides by getting past a slow start in order to lead the Bucs to a win.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Prediction

The Falcons are slight -1 point favorites in this one. This game is going to be fun to watch, especially with the win streak on the line for the Bucs going against one of the top teams in the NFL. The Falcons did have a rough week last week, but I’m expecting this well-coached team to come back from the brutal showing and to be able to pull off the road win the become one of the first ten win teams in the NFL. They have the talent on both sides of the ball, and the defense is going to be able to slow down Josh Freeman I think, even though I believe that Doug Martin could be in for a big day. Expect a close one from start to finish in my opinion, but the offense and the level of how clutch Matt Ryan is will be enough in the end. Our pick is on the Atlanta Falcons -1.
